Triceps Pulldown
14s
Stand facing a cable machine with the straight bar attachment—such as a straight bar or rope—and grasp it with an overhand grip at chest height. Position your feet shoulder-width apart, lean slightly forward at the hips, and pin your elbows firmly against your ribs to ensure the movement remains isolated to the arms. Exhale as you push the attachment down toward your thighs by fully extending your arms, focusing on a hard squeeze of the triceps brachii at the bottom of the movement. Slowly return the weight to the starting position, stopping once your forearms are just above parallel to the floor to maintain constant tension. By keeping your shoulders and elbows stationary throughout the lift, you maximize the workload on all three heads of the triceps while minimizing momentum from your chest or back.
